Audio Effects Company Founded by 13-year-old
Greater Portland, Maine — 5/13/2020 — TapeWrm Audio announced today the immediate availability of its initial suite of audio plug-ins, enabling musicians and producers to enhance their sonic creations in totally new ways.
“This isn’t your father’s plug-in company,” said Daniel Giulianti, known musically as Kill the Kitty, the Founder and Creative Director at TapeWrm Audio. “We wanted to throw out the old model of hardware imitations and create something totally new and different.”
Transported to the Future of Music Creation
Surveying the musical software landscape, Daniel could not find the types of audio effects he wanted to use in his own musical creation and experimentation. He found the current offerings boring and stale, holdovers from a time – before he was born — when only analog gear was used in recording studios. A multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer, he sketched out a series of audio effects units for computers that merged the best parts of existing programs in totally new ways and combinations.
With his father’s help, they worked with a Dutch software development team to turn Daniel’s dream into reality.
“My life is music. Thinking up new ways to design and transform sounds is my passion.” Daniel asserted. “TapeWrm Audio’s products are for music producers that are out of the ordinary and are looking for a unique, modern edge.”
